The presentation, though suitably stylish, will still provide a user-friendly experience, which is very important since this is the multi hand version of the game.

In this version, players are able to play and wager multiple hands in the game.

The Rules Of Play

At its most basic, European Blackjack MH still follows the same rules as traditional black jack. You are competing against the house dealer and not other players at blackjackcanada.net. You can beat the dealer on one of three ways. You can either get a score of 21 from your cards or get a score closer to 21 than the dealer can get. The last way is to let the dealer go bust by having his drawn card value exceed 21.

Play starts when the dealer deals two cards to all players and him or herself. One card is dealt face up. You then add up the face value of your cards to see if you are close to 21. Jacks, queens and kings count as 10 each, with 2 through 10 equalling their face value. The Ace acts almost like a wild would in slots. It can be worth either 1 or 11. Here the player or dealer can choose to receive additional cards if they are either below 10 with the total of both cards or if players feel lucky and want to take a risk to beat the house.

European Variations On The Standard Rules

There are a few rule variations though that comes into play with European Blackjack MH. Firstly the game uses 5 standard decks shuffled together to deal your hand from. This changes the odds and also prevents other players from card counting.

If the dealer’s hand total comes to 17 he must stand and cannot draw an additional card, this is something to keep in the back of your mind when wagering in game.

European Wager Variations

There is a wager called doubling down in black jack, which means you double your initial bet you placed with the agreement that you will not get any additional card draws after receiving on more card. In European black jack, you may only double down if your two dealt cards add up to 9, 10 or 11. In standard black jack, you have the ability to split your two cards into two separate hands if the two cards you were initially dealt have the same value, as in two 8’s, or two tens.

In European black jack, you may only split 10 value cards, only if they are equal cards i.e. two 10’s two kings or two queens. Additionally you may not double down after a split and may only split once per hand.

The Insurance Wager

Another unique feature in European Blackjack MH is the ability to take an insurance option of the dealer shows an Ace on his first draw. The pay ration on an insurance wager is 2:1 and is a great for providing assurance to players.
